Wild, adventurous, Peter Pan in youth.

A seeker, studious, lover of Spain,

Its language, literature, music.

Ambitious, successful in career.

Fortunate in love.

Rescuer of friends and family,

Patched, mended, defended.

Wise in middle age.

Stoic and valiant in later life.

Finally fragile,

When the rich tapestry began to fray.

You touched, inspired, guided (and chided!).

We salute you

For your inspiration and fortitude.

An example to us all...

You sit on our shoulders, still.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and staff, they comfort me. You spread a table before me in the presence of those who trouble me; you have anointed my head with oil and my cup shall be full. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
